The UQ Health Care clinic at St Lucia campus opens to staff November 28th, expanding on its offering to students.

The clinic has undergone a period of expansion by increasing facilities by 50%, engaging additional health care providers and extending hours.

“We want to offer our staff a very warm welcome at our UQ community clinic,” said Clinical Director, Dr Rosy Dobrijevic.

“It’s so valuable to UQ employees to be able to access quality care, including specialty services, right here on campus. We’re familiar with the kinds of health issues that affect our university community and are equipped to deal with these.”

Dr Dobrijevic said St Lucia’s experienced team of doctors offer specialty services not available at most community GP’s – such as IUD insertion, travel vaccination and iron infusion.

A new website and practice management software have been introduced to “encourage a smooth patient experience from the point of inquiry through to booking and payment”.

While services for staff are not bulk-billed, patients are encouraged to refer to UQ’s Policies & Procedures if they think they may be eligible to redeem the cost.
